Original price was: ₹140.00.Current price is: ₹110.00.

Amma’s words present a simpler version of the same truths found in the ancient scriptures. Hence, they carry the same beauty and profundity as the knowledge shared by the ancient seers. They really require no introduction. However, to truly understand their meaning, it is not enough to merely read them. One has to meditate upon them—to go beneath their surface and dive deep. Then, we find that, just as a tree is hiding inside each seed, a world of knowledge is hiding inside Amma’s every word. They have tremendous power—the power to quieten our mind and help us come face to face with God, our true nature.”

The Eternal Truth

This book contains the first part of a collection of Amma’s answers to questions on the principles of Sana-tana Dharma. These questions were raised by devotees on different occasions. We hope that this book will help to promote an understanding of the principles of Sana-tana Dharma Truth is One.  The sages call it by different names.” This is the exalted message that the ancient civilization of India has given the world. The cause of all the cur-rent problems related to religion is the fact that we have forgotten this message. We may declare that the world has shrunk to the size of a village thanks to globalization and modern scientific innovations such as the Internet and satellite TV, but, at the same time, the distance between people’s minds is steadily increasing. The concept that India has given to the world – Vasudhaiva kutumbakam, “The whole world is my family” – is based on the fundamental oneness and actual mental unity of us all. The ultimate solution to our problems is to imbibe this principle of oneness. Even if we are unable to do this, we should at least culti-vate the attitude of respecting other people’s viewpoints and ideas. The world is in profound need of tolerance and understanding. The principles of Sanatana Dharma, the Eternal Principle, which have been expressed
in the words of the Rishis (Self-realized sages), are capable of leading us in that direction.

The Irresistible Attraction of Divinity

Love is the only thing in the whole world that has an irresistible attraction. It is the most predominant feeling inherent in all living beings. Regardless of our background, nationality, language and the section of society we belong to, the power of love remain common to all of humanity, perhaps to the entire creation.
Though the energy behind love is the same, it manifests diversely depending on each person’s samskara (latent tendencies). This is how Amma puts it, “For a scientist, love means protons and neutrons. A poet or orator considers words like love, while food is love for some. Love for the near and dear ones is common. Color is love for an artist. A baby’s love is for its mother, and for a honeybee it is flowers. But for a devotee, God is love. Similarly, for a disciple, the guru is love.”

The Ocean of Grace – Vol 1

“Even greater a miracle than lifting a mountain,” says Amma, “is the love the gopis had for Lord Krishna.” How did the gopis develop this love? What is it that bound their hearts and minds unconditionally to the divine? Similar is the case with Amma’s children.

Infinite are the forms that Amma has taken to awaken divine love in our hearts that triumphs all sorrows. In every encounter Amma reveals that even if we may physically be apart, her embrace is eternal.

These testimonies by Amma’s children from all corners of the world give us a glimpse of the depth of Amma’s compassion that transcends all natural and manmade limitations. They echo the immutable truth of Amma’s promise to all: “Amma is always with you.”

The Ocean of Grace – Vol 2

“Spirituality is the science that teaches us how to live happily in the world,” Amma says, and these recollections of devotees’ experiences reveal how Amma has guided them to uncover this secret knowledge that lies dormant in our hearts.

Amma’s every glance, every touch, every word, literally every thought arising from her presence reveals an intimacy with her that transcends the limitations of time and space. It is through this deep connection that Amma guides us out of the mire of worldliness and into the realm of overflowing love.

Having been touched by Amma’s love, the soul yearns for an ever-expanding heart, just as a tree reaches for the sky — and suddenly we realize that our lives have been transformed. Evolving through selfless action and contemplation, Amma’s children awaken to their mother’s call: “Amma bows down to all of you, who are embodiments of pure
love and the supreme self.”

The Ocean of Grace – Vol 3

“Whether we laugh or cry, days will pass by. So why not choose to laugh?” Amma says, “Happiness is a decision.” Many of Amma’s children have faced tremendous hardships in both material as well as spiritual life. This teaching of Amma’s may be one of the most profound and at the same time one of the most difficult to accept. Is happiness really a choice?
This book contains the transformational journeys of twenty-five of Amma’s children. Every story is real. Every child is unique. So many struggled hard to open up to receive Amma’s pure and selfless love. Yet somehow an inner transformation started the moment Amma touched their lives, and each person in their own time eventually became receptive to her love and grace.

Accepting Amma’s love and grace is always a turning point in everyone’s life. As we read these chronicles that her devotees have offered in love, it removes any doubts that we too can grow into a life filled with love. Therefore let’s laugh with enthusiasm and follow Amma’s loving clarion call: “My children, happiness is a decision.

Throughout the world today, the darshan and the nectarous words of Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi are effecting transformations in the lives of hundreds of thousands of people. This book, though incomplete, is a precious collection of conversations between the Holy Mother and Her disciples, devotees and inquiring visitors between June 1985 and September 1986

Upadesamritam - Pakuti 2

A compilation of Mother’s messages in the form of questions and answers. Mother’s every word spreads the light of knowledge and removes the clouds of confusion that may gather in the minds of Her children. Some conversations are centered on a particular topic. On other occasions, the questions posed address various uncertainties that arise in the minds of the listeners. Mother gives appropriate responses to all of them. Her only aim is the spiritual progress of Her children.

Upadeshamrita - Bhag 1

The wisdom of the Mahatmas who have come with the mission of uplifting the world has both immediate and eternal meaning. Even though they elucidate values that are everlasting, they are attuned to the call of the times in which they live, and their words are in response to the heartbeat of their listeners.
Mother speaks Her immortal words which transform society at a time when man has lost his traditional values, nobler sentiments and peace of mind, in the frenzied attempt to reinforce the outer world of sensory pleasures, power and prestige. Man’s senseless pursuit of these distractions, oblivious of his own Self, has cost him the harmony and graciousness of his life. Lack of faith, a sense of competition and fear have destroyed personal ties and family relations. Love has become a mirage in a culture of excessive consumerism.
Throughout the world today, the darshan and the nectar like words of Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi are effecting transformations in the lives of hundreds of thousands of people. This book is a precious collection of conversations between the Holy Mother and Her disciples, devotees and inquiring visitors during the period from June 1985 to September 1986.
